The last practice before
the Waterbury Patriots. Its been a tough 2 days
we've worked hard, but in the long run it will pay off!
I have posted some favorites on my youtube.com page check
them out, especially the profile of Orlando Pace probably
one on the best offensive linemen EVER!

Waterbury is fast and do a lot of fakes to open up the
field. I know we have weaknesses, but I also know we
can overcome them and be Champions.
Know your assignment, know the count and execute and we
will win!

Tonight we
worked on Improving our weaknesses and understanding our
responsibilities on the field. Unlike any other sport
football is a total team sport. every one has a job during
the play from the snap of the ball to the referees
whistle. If one person dosent understand their
responsibilities it could effect the outcome of a game.
This is what we try as coaches to impart to you the
players. If we get loud, we do it to to stress the
importance of discipline and preparedness.
Coach Rado made an important point, if you are not
prepared or disciplined there is a good chance you could
get hurt! That would be the last thing myself or any of
our Coaches want. Once again great job against Shelton and
see you tomorrow
Thanks,

Tonight We
scrimmaged a tough Shelton JPW Team. We knew going into
the scrimmage that we had things to work on but by the end
of the night all the coaches agreed that we are ahead of
schedule compared to last year. The weaknesses will be
worked on during practice. and we are going to be a much
better team for it. Waterbury is next up for us on
8/25/08. Historically the Waterbury Patriots are always
tough and don't forget that both Shelton and Waterbury
come from the Southern CT Pop Warner League they are the
big dogs, that is why we schedule scrimmages with them. We
will not improve if we play weaker teams.
Lastly I hope everyone had fun and as far as the on field
indiscretions by Shelton we have to rise above that by
being the better man, and in turn being the better team.
I will leave you with a Quote By President Teddy
Roosevelt:
"In life, as in a football game, the principle to
follow is: Hit the line hard! "
